I just don't understand it...

Mary now refuses to get in the tub because of what she thinks is dirt. She screams, cries and throws a fit if we attempt to put her in the water. You can actually see the terror in her eyes. This happened literally overnight. She loved bath time on Tuesday but on Thursday was terrified. Tonight I had to wash her hair while she stood in the tub, all the while she refused to let go of my neck and shirt.

Any ideas anyone?

Bubbles? Possibly show her photos of children in the bathtub?

Get in with her? Or make a nice bath and get in it and let her see you having a good time?

no ideas! My tub has been broken since october so we have been bathing her in the sink! (it won't turn from shower to bath). Ken and my dad are fixing it today. Once I tried to take her in the shower with me but she was terrified! I had to hold her the whole time and finally let her get out. Hopefully she'll get to get in the real tub tonight!!

I don't know. Charley has those moments too, so we just shower quickly and get him out of there. In fact, he pitched a fit tonight so we did the two second shower just to get the pen off his face and out of his ear (don't ask...). Dave held him with one hand and used the handheld shower in the other, but Charley would have ran out of the tub naked if he had gotten away. Poor little guy. But he needed a bath, he was so dirty from playing all day.

Must be a phase, because he's a water baby and LOVES to splash and play normally...

That's the way Mary is. Right now she is in the tub but she really threw a fit about going in. But now that she is in she refuses to get out. Weird kid.
