What happened to Oliver.

Well, the '88 Toyota Celica known as Oliver left us today, courtesy of these folks:

We got $150 for it, which is about $100 more than it's worth.

FYI, this VAW commercial has a cute Wikipedia entry which also has links to other famous Chi-town ads, like "Empire Carpet", the "Law Offices of Peter Francis Geraci", and "Walter E. Smithe" (Smithe with an 'E'! ), and it still runs about every 15 seconds in Chicago.
The "car owner" was a tow truck driver for Victory, and every once in a while, he's interviewed in Chicago for some "Where Are They Now?" segment.
Ask anyone in Chicago what comes after "710 E. Green" and they'll immediately respond "In Bensenville, near O'Hare."

It will be missed, especially since it got 31 mpg in the city and about 36 mpg hwy.
